Manchester City's record signing Robinho has no wish to return to Eastlands and is instead praying that he can continue playing in his Brazilian homeland after the World Cup.

Robinho has impressed since landing back in Brazil.

After a stormy 18 months following his British record £32.5million arrival from Real Madrid, Robinho was eventually loaned to his old club Santos in January.
Although there is no chance of Santos being able to afford the fee City would want for the 26-year-old, Robinho wants to remain in his homeland and is willing to explore all alternatives.
Certainly life at Eastlands holds little appeal for a player who sparkled at times during his first season but became increasingly disenchanted with City once fellow countrymen Jo and Elano were ditched by Mark Hughes.
In contrast, Robinho is revelling in life back in Brazil and scored a vital goal against Gremio to book a place in the Brazilian Cup final later this year. In fact, the second leg against Vitoria is on August 4, the day after Robinho's loan deal is supposed to expire. However, the World Cup-bound star is eager to remain where he is.
"I will return to Brazil after the World Cup and, God willing, I will stay to play in the Copa Libertadores (in 2011),'' he said.

Rumor has it that he thought he had signed for United when he actually signed for City. United to a lot of internationals is likely the only "Manchester" team that they know of...

Robinho's agent: "Manchester has come with a great offer"
Robinho: "I have always wanted to play for a big club like Manchester"

etc

hes gonna go back to madrid soon, if he hadnt of left 2 summers ago, he would have been lead goal scorer on team that year because Van went down and was out for 7 months...funny how things work out, he just might want to make it happen full circle. Its quite possible Madrid could buy him back at a discounted rate, maybe throw in Gago who City has expressed interest in, and Perez would rebuy him. im sure robinho would do it, he regrets it as much as Madrid do.

watch him tear it up in South Africa too
